Judging Criteria

Bikini Model
Thie judges are looking for a less muscular and softer look compared to the Fitness Model category. Competitors should not have 6 pack abs however still maintain a toned and flat midsection. Emphasis on presentation and overall model look. Performed in a two piece bikini and heels. Performs a stage walk and quarter turns. Judging is based on body shape, structure and symmetry, stage presence, tan and posing.

Fitness Model
Aim to have 6 pack abs. Leaner and more muscular than the Bikini Model, yet less muscular than a Figure competitor. Lean condition showcasing muscle development is desired. Well balanced musculature with emphasis on round shoulders, small waist and equally balanced lower body development. Judging is done in a two piece bikini and heels. All walk on stage together and perform quarter turns. Judging is based on condition, symmetry, muscular shape and size, stage presence, posing and tan.

Sports Model

The same criteria as the Fitness model division. A developed physique with abs, shoulder and back definition but less muscular than a Figure competitor. A good toned condition, that shows fuller muscles which may present differently in the Sports Model outfit.  Presented in a sports outfit (pants, crop top and runners). All walk on stage together and perform quarter turns. Judging is based on symmetry, muscular development, condition, stage presence, posing and tan.

Figure
Judged along the lines of bodybuilding but figure competitors should have less bulk. This is the leanest of the female categories. Competitors should emphasize round shoulders, small waist, balanced muscle groups and the highest degree of conditioning whilst bringing femininity to their poses. Performed in a bikini and heels. Judging is based on symmetry, condition, muscular development, posing and tan.

Figure International
Judging based on the Symmetry round only. Emphasis is on the balance of muscle groups in proportion to each other, with a classic V-Taper and symmetrical structure, plus stage presentation. Performs only through quarter turns. Performed in a bikini and heels. Judging is based mostly on Symmetry but posing, condition, stage presence and tan is also taken into account.

Bodybuilding
Competitors should have the most muscularity and size of any of the categories male or female. Competitors should emphasize the highest degree of muscular development, the highest degree of conditioning with a focus on small waist and overall balance between muscle groups. Performed in posing trunks for men and a two piece posing bikini for women. Judging is based on muscle size and definition, overall symmetry, condition, posing and tan.

Men’s Physique
A similar degree of definition and separation as bodybuilding with a little less muscle. Focus and emphasis on broad shoulders, round/full arms and chest with a small waist, balanced back and upper V taper. This category has much less emphasis on lower body development. We are looking at the overall symmetry in this division, being wide shoulders small waist and not the thickness of a bodybuilder. Performed in shorts which are just above the knees.

Men’s Fitness
Aim to have 6 pack abs. Less lean (these guys are lean so not sure you should put less lean, but definitely less muscular) and muscular than Men’s Physique with a more athletic look. Well balanced musculature with emphasis on aesthetics, small waist and equally balanced muscle groups. Stage presence is an integral part of this model division. Judged only by quarter turns.Performed in shorts that are mid to high thigh in length and no shoes. Judging is based on overall symmetry, condition, stage presence, posing and tan.

Ms Runway

Performed on stage in an evening gown of your choice. Judged on overall appearance, confidence, stage walk, presentation, elegance, beauty and skin tone. Stage walk consists of an individual walk and group quarter turns

Ms Swimsuit

Performed on stage in a one-piece swimsuit of your own colour choice. You will be judged on your overall package, symmetry, stage presence, tan and posing.

A swimsuit model competitors stage persona and self-confidence is just as important as their appearance. Individual stage walk is followed by group quarter turns.

Angels

This division is open to ALL Female competitors, including, Bikini, Fitness, and Figure competitors. Judges are looking for the “WOW” factor, and the placegetters will be determined by the best overall presentation on the day, taking poise, walk, personality and effort into account. This is designed as a ‘fun’ ore relaxed type Category focusing on Colour and Entertainment as well.
